I know it's rough being a new seller.
Lot of scammers out their.

And you basically need to be the one to establish the trust ALOT.
I am a well known member.
I am a total azzhole when need be, but I am not a dishonest person.

I have not responded to your 2 pm,s.
Larry Root showing up on your 1st ad for this rifle did not help out your sale one bit.
And some of your post on that ad raised my eyebrow at times

Put me up a pic, a clear one of the roll marks on the left side of the barrel with both of the scope caps in the pic.
Similar to the request 10 gauge Mag made a couple of days ago.
You doing that did redeem yourself more.

I want to confirm it is a model 10 versus 110.
I am very familiar with both models.
And they appear very similar.
And your pics are large and hard to pick out the detail to see difference.

Model 10 LE,s have 2 front swivels and a flat forearm bottom.
And the hunter models are like yours.
But 10,s and 110,s are very similar.

Are you shipping from a FFL.
Or are you yourself shipping to a FFL.

Get me the pic please and I will discuss the trust stipulation on your part further, after I talk to my FFL monday.

And yes I did read both your pm,s and yes I know you want to sell this to buy another rifle

Your 500 shipped is a agreeable price for me.

Renegade….You are correct that the Savage model 10 and 110 are similar but that’s because Savage’s designation for their long action rifles are 3 digits like the 110 is the long action version of the model 10 and the 112 is the LA version of the model 12….👍🏼

I have a model 116 FSAK which is the long action version of the model 16 that has Fluted Stainless Adjustable brake (fsak) in 338 win mag.

Plus new enough that SA cartridges were in an SA action. Started in mid/earlysh '90s for Savage.

Anything Accutrigger will be a Model 10 SA or 110 LA depending on cartridge. No more all LA 110 for any cartridge.

I thought Model 10s were heavy barreled rifles. The pic seems to have a sporter contour.. Savage has changed their numbering system several times over the years, During the era pictured Model 10s were police heavy barreled models, Model 11s were sporters and Model 12s were varmint models. Model 14s were wood stocked sporters. In the old days 110s were first long and short actions then became long action only with spacers for short action cartridges. Today's two digit models are indeed short actionsl

10 FP was heavy and was pre accutrigger. Model 10 were sporter weight.

114/14 were walnut.

110/10 were birch or synthetic. Old models.

111 and 11 are newer synthetic sporter.

116/16 were SS.

Weren't some of the 10 LE,s had the heavier profile barrel, accutrigs and the other features mentioned.

That is a 10 hunter model with old style stock and the features being mentioned.
I'm just wanting to make sure it is a 10 and not a 110.

I can get a 110 30- 06 with accutrigg here local.
But they want a hope diamond price for it.
I can buy a new axis 2 and put it in a Boyd's stock for the price that lgs wants for that 110.
🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Need a crappy weather deer rifle.
Something I can blast off with a spray oil, oil brush the barrel action and bolt.
Push a couple patches thru the barrel to get out any water.

Sexy mod 70 ot6 needs to be a fair weather rifle from here on out.

Model 10 is pillared and Floated also IIRC.
plus if I buy this based on tcan doing some trust as a new seller .
Tweak the acctrigg a little and do some additional devcon bedding around the action and 1st inch of the barrel.
Put a Sightron SII 3-9 X42 on it.
That scope will be a search.....

Model 10…12…14…etc are all short action chamberings. The various letters after the 2 digits (3 for a long action ie 110) 10 FP…116 FSAK, etc specify various features like heavy barrel or stainless barrel, fluting, etc

If it’s a short action chambering like 308 or 223 it’ll be a two digit model..ie 10FP…whereas the identical rifle in a long action version would be a 3 digit model..ie 110FP

I need to have a talk with my ffl/ lgs guy also.
He owes me a solid after bringing him 2 buck carcasses this hunting season.
Are you shipping it from you to ffl or ffl to ffl?

I need to create either a 3 way or 4 way loop of comms per you being willing too establish trust for me to go thru with this.

That will be Monday afternoon sometime after I talk to him and see what actions he thinks I might need to do.

I know this all might be seen as to the nth degree of caution in all of this.
And all of this can seem nit picky, but not meant to offend.
You just have the newb seller thing going against you and all associated with that.
If you were a well known individual this rifle would have sold long ago.

Buyer beware rules these classifieds AFAIC.

But I also can sit and wait on something local to come along or make this happen with your rifle.

It's just business, and some stipulations need to happen because your new.
Others probably would handle this less " drastic".
But alot of guys get burned on here being aloof and then you read the threads they make " how did this happen to me" type of stuff.

They didn't put a trust stipulation into a deal or acted on impulse and didn't pay attention to signs that are common they might be getting taken for a ride.
I don't have to have this rifle.
I would like to have it
But I can always wait also.
So alot of this is gonna be on you to show me trust.
And if you do so it will help you out on here dealing with other buyers in the future by having a baseline example in ways.
But those will be between them and you.

There's no legal requirement I ship from an FFL in my state. I can just box it up and ship it to any FFL.

I'll ship FedEx or ups. Insurance I would ask you to cover, if you want it.

UPS will not allow non-FFL holders to ship long guns, or pretty much any other firearm part, any more. It's a fairly recent change. That I detest. FedEx still will according to their website.

With me it's easier and cheaper to ship from my FFL. Last I shipped with UPS (before their policy change) cost around $40. My FFL only charges $30. So with that said, might check your FFL, they may ship cheaper and hassle free......
