I’ve been loading 120s with Varget with good results. A buddy gave me 4 pounds of N140 and I want to give it a go.
Any of you guys load with N140? If so please share your findings.

In a Kimber 84M 7mm-08 early in the breaking in process and first attempt in load development with VHN:

GMX 139 gr
N140 - 40 gr
OAL 2.765

Winds 17km - 27km gusts

Shots 1 & 2 interlocked - pulled the third one to the right. Measures around .475

Lots of potential.

Check out the N140 reloading data at the VIHTAVUORI website

Yeah I have the VV site data. Used it in the past for 308 and 260 and find usually very conservative on published max charges. Was hoping to get some real world experiences with it.

Based on my comparative results in 308 between Varget, RE15 and N140 I'd have no qualms about working up to the 44-45 grain level with a 120 in the 7mm08.

Only use I had for N140 was in 5.56.... and it's a wonderful powder... Use the high energy version,N540 for any application I would use IMR 4064, and think it's far superior. Wouldn't hesitate a second to use it for your 7-08.
