Geeez... take a joke man. For starters, don't ask any serious question on the campfire.... second, you should check out the "fishing" sub forum.

Once they start biting, the season is fairly long. I don't fish much anymore, but there are a lot of boats at the crick! There are a lot of them out there, and the success rate seems pretty high. You do have to time it right though. That seems to be the most important part.

May through the end of June was great last year. Anywhere nesr Port Clinton for charters. Tons of them on the web.

Yep, looks for charter boats in Port Clinton/Marblehead/Oak Harbor. May and into June is your best bet. Shoot me a PM if you want some specific recommendations.

Used to go to Port Clinton as suggested above, lots of charters. You can rent a cheap room at Camp Perry today at. at least you use to be able to.

Went out of Port Clinton (Teddy Bear Charters) and had success. First day we rigged Erie Dearie's with a night crawler and drifted with a 10-15 mph wind. This worked great and kept the Drum off the line for the most part. Limited out with some 30" + fish. Second day there was no wind, so no drift. We couldn't keep the Drum off our rigs.

Spent some time fishing Cattaraugus creek with my brother and father some time ago. We went onto the indian reservation and got a license at a local gas station. This river dumps into erie and the fishing was always fantastic when we went. We were flyfishing for steelhead and had no issue catching big fish!

You'll do better if you can somehow go when the mayflies aren't hatching.

What time of year? Looking for 18-22" eaters or do you want to target 6+ pounders?

Check out Eric T Guide Service. I hear he catches them all the time. Except when he's trying to figure out WTF went wrong with his suppressor paper work.
