One step closer to rescuing eastern Oregon from Portland scum

"BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The "Greater Idaho" bill, which would move the Oregon-Idaho border to include a large swath of Eastern Oregon, has passed the Idaho House of Representatives. The bill authorizes Idaho legislators to begin talks with Oregon about relocating the state line.

During debate on the floor of the House, proponents of the bill cited the desirability of applying Idaho law to eastern Oregon as a way to move Oregon drug laws farther away from Idaho's current population centers.

Proponents also cited an economic analysis from the Claremont institute that shows that rural Oregon counties would be a net benefit to Idaho financially, according to the report.

A bill in the Oregon Legislature would allow for these types of conversations, however, it hasn't seen any activity since early January."

There's nothing wrong with talking about it. Otherwise, it's all just internet rumors. I just hope they don't spend mega millions just talking. Politicians are good at that.

Yeah, talk a few minutes at the end of the session when there's nothing important to do, like counting the pencils in the meeting chamber, before shutting down for the year.

It is inconsequential to them, their eastern votes are nullified by Portlandia and western portion of the states liberal population.

There is a long list of states that need the boundaries redrawn; from New York, Virginia, Illinois, Colorado, California.
Apologies to California guys but they should have let California secede back when they were bragging about their economy being bigger than many nations.

Cali will just buy ID and move in like they do everywhere else. Already happening. People in the west have been bitching about it for decades and yet they keep selling out to California.

Folks gotta do what they gotta do for their own bottom line, and that's fine. They just need to stop expecting everyone else to look out for the greater good of their state while they cash in.

There's a bizillion acres of BLM and Nat Forest in the area in question. The Idaho Fish and Game would have to expand considerably to cover it all. I would suggest that they add a large fee to any license or tag bought by anyone from what would then be Oregon.

This resolution simply states that the Idaho House of Representatives will continue discussions with the people
of Oregon and the Citizens for Greater Idaho concerning the moving of the boarders to include parts of Oregon
and her vast resources.

FISCAL NOTE
There is no impact to the general fund nor to any local government as this is a resolution about continued
conversations.
