Was looking around Tract’s website and noticed their 2-10 with T-Plex (just regular reticle) was out of stock and not expected to be in stock till July 16th? How does that happen? Isn’t that one of their mainstays?

It happens every once in a while. It happens because they sell out of a production lot. It was a real surprise to me decades ago to realize that much of the shooting gear I buy was not in continuous production but was built to lots ordered in a production year cycle. If companies underestimate demand, they sell out a production lot quicker. If they overestimate demand, they sell out slower or not at all.

I'm not sure but I believe certain firearms are built the same way. I know ammo and components are.

I’ve never noticed that particular model show out of stock. Not sure how long it’s been out of stock but July that’s half the year assuming they get them on time.

I have seen that model out of stock before and had to wait until they came back in. I am running five of them right now.

LOW may have limited capacity due to internal constraints or maybe external (raw materials from their suppliers). If that’s the case, they have to prioritize their customers and Tract, being relatively small, probably isn’t at the top of their priority list.

Can't produce a product if you can't get the raw materials. Over the past week I've spoken to two gun part makers that have long overdue orders for materials....and they can get no update on when they will receive them. Waiting to hear back from a third that does the same.
