I’m looking for the best 4 season 4 person tent that can withstand some serious wind. Anyone have any first hand knowledge they can share ?.....,

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.
Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

To sleep in the hurricane? Hilleberg has several 4 person four season tents. Not a lot of living space, though. Our Seek Outside tipi stood up to some vicious Alaskan winds on two trips. Gotta use the stakes and guylines right though. I hear the Arctic Ovens can handle some serious weather but were too heavy for our trips. I’d take a backup tent along if at all possible. Serious weather in the backcountry is scary as heck.
I think the mountain climbers know best about what will stand in the gales. Hopefully one of them will chime in.

That was the one I had in mind. We took a smaller Hilleberg as our backup on the second trip. Expensive, but I considered it to be life insurance.

I'm looking forward to the recommendations.
The best tent that I have owned for 4 people, 4 seasons, and high wind is the Cabela's XWT. I don't think that they are made anymore. I think they were somewhat based off of the Artic Oven.
I also owned a Kodiak and they are good at flexing in wind with the spring bars, but I think they catch more wind.
And for best performance in wind, I really think it helps to have a lower overall height.
If I had to replace my XWT, I would consider the AO or tunnel tent.

If the wind is ripping, it goes right through the Kodiak canvas. You'll literally feel it.
The material is great for hot, dry weather though. During hot weather archery hunts my Kodiak stayed cool and less stuffy than synthetics.

Cabelas guide series tent. Get the 6 man perfect for 2 people. You will appreciate all the guy lines, get aluminum poles etc. I’m assuming this is for your unimak bear hunt? Plenty of these have been dragged to kodiak https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/cabelas-alaskan-guide-model-geodesic-6-person-tent

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Mountain Hardwear Trango 4 Big Agnes has several 4-8 person mountaineering tents on their website. If you want to dream, both TNF and Mountain Hardwear have large base camp mountaineering tents for over $5k.

I forgot about the Cabelas. They used to sell them with either aluminum or fiberglass poles. Definitely want aluminum for high winds.
