I bought this to replace my Freedom Arms revolver as my Texas Hog hunting big bore. I just turned 70 and am finding 454 full house loads are now a bit much :-)

This one is the Target Grey finish with the wood panel grips, which I prefer. The heft and weight of the Super Redhawk does a much better job of handling recoil than my Freedom Arms did. They come with the receiver dovetailed for Ruger rings if you wanted to mount a scope.

I have the same gun. It’s worth the price just to see everyone’s face at the range when you touch off a full power 454 round. With regular 45 Colt ammo it hardly kicks.

Nice revolver. I have a couple 454 Casull revolvers (one of which is a Ruger Super Redhawk). Yes, they are a handful but they really put the smack on whatever you are shooting. The fact that can you can also fire 45 Colt ammo is a real plus making the revolver versatile. If I didn't already own a couple, this one would be mine.

The 454 was my favorite revolver caliber when I used to Hog hunt at the ranches down near Kerrville. Lots of fun!
