Just making sure the newer ones that are coated are still stainless. It's a little unclear to me on the website.
Thanks

Curious myself BUT I think you have to buy a stainless model to get stainless.

Seekin’s website says stainless. Euro optic says stainless blasted. Feeling pretty good about it.
I am just a little gun shy to drop the coin without knowing for sure since some manufacturers have dropped stainless for coatings.

I can understand questioning. So many makers are just coating. I'm of the opinion (and experience) that Seekins is generally going to do it "right" when they do something. Seekins lists the barrel as 416 stainless: https://seekinsprecision.com/havak-bolt-rifles/havak-ph2.htmlThey use their HAVAK action and I don't think they've ever used anything except stainless on it. "USA certified pre-hardened stainless action and bolt body" is listed on their action page: https://seekinsprecision.com/parts-accessories/havak-action.html

Anyone know if it’s possible to order one without the spiral flutes?

Anyone know if it’s possible to order one without the spiral flutes? I’ve read posts on rokslide about people ordering custom specs but think it’s pretty pricey.

Ordered one today from euro optic. A-holes make it way too easy to order over the phone. Enablers. They know who I am from my phone number, who my FFL is, and have my cc on file.
I went with the black coating to make the spiral flutes less hideous.
338 win mag, 1-10 twist.
Will report with 230 Eldx and a ss-3-9.

I could be interested myself if they are coated stainless. It is coated stainless according to euro optic and the seekins website. Works well for me fending salt damage. I got the last 338 in this color basically for saltwater based hunts. Regular stainless will get rust spots. god names for boys

I noticed the mag/prc cartridge choices have carbon fiber magazines. Interesting... Will do some more research on these rifles, I'm interested.

Will report with 230 Eldx and a ss-3-9. I could very well like that setup! I would have to give the 250gr Scenar a try. Thinking of doing so in my Ruger 338. If it behaves anything like the 139gr 6.5 version, I'd probably not shoot anything else through it.

Got it in hand. 8.8lbs with a SS 3-9 mounted.
Seems like a nice, one and done rifle for other than deer here in AK. Have 250's enroute. Hopefully all the stars align with accuracy and velocity and I will have what I was after.

I wish they had shorter barrel options for suppressor use. Seem like nice rifles.

Since I have a SS 6X in route, I"m thinking of moving the SS 3-9 from my 22LR over to my 338. Or maybe the second 6X. Or maybe not. I don't shoot/hunt it as I've not found the 260 Rem/scenar combo lacking for what I do most anymore.
