I have a 24” Proof CF barreled 6CM that has been my most used deer rifle over the past few years. Using 105 gr Hybrids, it has been fantastic. I had it threaded 5/8x24 with the intention of using a brake or a can and once I started using the suppressor, it hasn’t been switched back to the brake. It is just very long with the can attached and is cumbersome in a deer blind. I’m going to either buy or build another and am contemplating between 18 and 20 inches, as it will be run suppressed. I’m interested to hear what others are doing with <20” barrels in a 6CM.
The Springfield looks great and the Seekins does as well.

A 6 Creed is on my mind too. Springfield Waypoint looks like the easy and bang for the buck button. I’ve been eyeing one of those waypoints in 6 creed. I really dig the CF one. Have you bought one yet?

Have you bought one yet? I haven’t. Trying to decide on a suppressor for it. Then, I should have several months to find a decent deal while waiting for that process…

6CM Curtis Action, 20" 1 x 8 Proof Barrel, Dead Air Can, Vortex Scope, shoot 105 gr. A-Max or 108 gr. ELD-M, Kills every thing I point it at. Rio7

drano25, When you add a suppressor to any rifle it makes them to long to be handy, unless they have a 10" barrel, I have a 20" 6 CM and a 16" 6.5 CM and a 18"6.5 PRC and a 22" 6.5 CM and a 16" ar-15 and a 18".243 All are suppressed, When compared to unsuppressed they are much more comfortable to shoot, they all shoot very well but not all are real handy in the field. YMMV Rio7

I did mine on a 700 with 24" JC bbl, sporter contour in a Grayboe Outlander topped with a Sightron S-Tac 3-16. That is a very nice rifle. Looks to balance right for a deliberate shooter, but light enough to carry anywhere you would want to take it.

My thought was that if I didn't like it's balance, I could put on a smaller scope and lop off a couple inches from the bbl, but it turned out ok as it.
