My nephew played. Won second in the national trumpet contest as a HS junior. Won first place as a HS senior. Went to Julliard.

Started on French horn, switched to coronet then baritone. Really liked the baritone the best and played it the longest. Haven’t touched an instrument since high school.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Friend of mine has played for something like 60 years. Tom Poole.
He's played with a bunch of bands you know like Boz Scaggs.
