At the receiver is there a chip out of the wood at the j cutout on the left and a chip sticking up on the right one??

No chip on the left just the way it was cut. Very small piece is sticking up on the right. I think it is firmly attached. I rubbed it back and forth and it didn't move. Even if did come off it wouldn't hardly be noticeable it is so small.
