I don't see it your way. HE QUIT. What part don't you understand? I did everything I said I would. He played a little game with the phone, He did know everything in the agreement. The portion of your e-mail that I posted was a positive thing, in your defense. You were taking a lot of heat for having an unpopular position, and even though I disagreed with your position, I was backing up your character. My mistake. I sincerely apologize.



To be honest, I am glad you don't care what I believe about what you said. As such, the following won't bother you in the least, and somebody needs to say this--as unpopular as it's going to be.



You did not back up your word in this matter of the bet. You acknowledge that Dan sent papers to your attorney, but you refused to look at them because he is a "dumazz", and complained about spending money on a small legal fee--at least, small in comarision to the bet. The unwillingness for you to even look at the papers is not evidence in your favor.



You have been extremely critical of GW and the lack of evidence of WMDs. You have called his truthfulness into question because he has not proved Saddam had WMDs immediately prior to the war. In that same vein, where is the evidence for your gold coin sale? After all, if you did sell it for more than $94,700, there would be proof. If you do not produce evidence of this sale, does this not call you own truthfulness into question by your own standard?



Many times you have asked guys to bet money on what they believe in concerning WMDs, and in fact consider it "telling" when no one will put money up against you. Because of that, I was sure you were going to come through, show the proof, and collect the money. Why didn't you? Somehow, a man of your apparent business acumen refusing to spend $1000-$5000 for a "sure thing" $100k return rings very hollow. Even if Dan didn't have the money available and you did waste $1000, for a man of your means, isn't that worth shutting up someone I am sure you consider an arrogant "dumazz"?



Is there some other factor I haven't considered? Were you maneuvered into a psotion you couldn't win? What is the real story?
