DFC, why in the hell don't YOU post this 3 page document that you claim you sent to IIFID's lawyer????

Remove any names if you want to keep your anonymity.

After all, it is YOUR document that we would like verified.

What? Scared? Then we might know what crap you put in it to allow you to pull out?

The reason I like best is, its not your business. Secondly, I'm a better person now, than I would be, if I posted a private agreement, without the other parties permission.

Technically it is not an agreement if the other party has not read or signed it!!!

MS, Stick, TLee, Longbob, and a few other believers:

Thanks for taking me at my word, I find it interesting that I gave approximate dates, amounts and who sold the coin for me and some still think I am lying.

First of all, let me clarify that, while I have used Mr. Davis in a legal matter I was forced to pursue a few years back, he is not "my" attorney, I don't really have one. Like doctors, I avoid attorneys as much as possible. Mr. Davis and I are not friends, indeed, we barely know each other, I hired him, he did the work, we won by settlement, and I paid him and that was that. Also, unlike what is posted here by dumbazz, I haven't seen the dreaded 3 pages, Mr. Davis only works part time these days and I was never able to catch him in the office when I was not taking care of day to day business on the ranch (my day job as dumbazz would put it , where he got that I have a "real" day job from I haven't a clue), and, according to Mr. Davis' secretary, the name was wrong on them, so I couldn't just go by and pick them up. Some much for his vaunted research.

As far as the bet goes, I evaluated my chances of collecting against any expenditures and figured the odds were against my ever seeing any money from DFC. If he still wants to bet, even after my little tale, I will quadruple anyone's "investment" who is dumb or astute enough to pay the legal fees out of any money collected from DFC and donate the rest of the $100,000 winnings (if we could collect anything) to the NRA, all this assuming that the bet is simply that I sold a coin that I owned for more than $95,000. If there is more to it than that, we would have to consider what is involved in the crawfishing details. BTW, there is nothing that DFC can possibly say in his much discussed document that would bother me, I invite him to post it here or email it to me and I will post it. I am going on record as advising my friends or supporters against proceeding with any legal expenses because your chances of getting any money out of DFC are zero in my estimation. I did what I said I did and that's that, getting money out of DFC would be another matter.

You are willing to take the word of a stranger with a terrible temper (being gentle here) over that of a guy who's been around us for years? Granted we don't all agree with all of his views on various topics (who does?), but he's never given us ANY reason to doubt his word. Dan, on the other hand ........

BW, WCB or ?, why don't one of you put up the $1000 for IIFID's attorney. I'm sure IIFID would be kind enough to double your investment IF the bet actually goes through

Muley Stalker,

I never stated that I doubt IIFID's claim, nor do I doubt him. I'm confident he has the money, and that he sold the coin as stated.

I simply wonder why a person would make an offer to bet, actually make the bet, then not follow through. In IIFID's case, he has made these 'bet me' offers before in order to make a point.

"Why don't I put up the $1000?"

Because I don't go around making bets to prove my points.

"I did what I said I did and that's that,"

That's a friggin joke. Also, I talked to your lawyer for the good part of 15 minutes, so spin a new tail. You don't seem to know when to shut up. Tell one lie and then tell two to cover it up. Your a joke.

I'd take that bet, except he would then do it just to spite me and you would win!

Hey Danny boy .... I believe it should be spin a new TALE! While not a spelling error ... I would say it is one that a master of the language (such as yourself) shouldn't make.

Even most spell checkers don't differentiate between versions of a word in context, if it is in the library of words it must be right. Just a thought.

Uh, and reflecting on this thread, I have come to the conclusion that DFC is a follower of the following. No it is not an ORIGINAL T LEE thought, and I don't even remember the origins, thus I paraphrase:

If you can not impress them with intelligence and knowledge, just try to dazzle them with bull[BLEEP] I mean feces.

DFC:

I'm going to type this slowly so you can follow it. I have not spoken to, nor had any other means of communication with Mr. Davis since well before this matter came up, up to and including today. I did call his office a couple of times, but he was always out or unavailable. I have not confirmed with him that a bet is an enforceable contract in Texas, although I believe it is.

If anyone wants to use another attorney to win the bet and try to collect some money from DFC that is fine with me. To repeat, I think it is wasted effort and money which is why I didn't do it. Anyone who has successfully gambled for a while, as I've done, knows that winning a bet and collecting the money are not the same thing.

Come on DFC, post the 3 pages, lets see what you've got.

DFC??? Where are you???

No excuses now -- let's see the document.

Me thinks you are just a tall tail (sic). Actually not tall at all and for that matter, not the tail -- just what is immediately beneath it .

I'll pass, you had all the time you needed, to put up or shut up, here you are still running your mouth. I'm NOT posting anything. I'm through playing games with your sorry asz. You'll never see the end of your lie, your peers will remember you lied. I don't give a damn that you lied, really don't. You told us you were rich, you told us you had $100,000.00 in the bank, you told us you wanted to bet it, you told us you were not going to bet it. Do you know what the hell you are going to do? I know what I'm going to do. You are history, good bye, Good Luck loser.

Dan, and out of here.
