The funniest thing I ever saw him do was on Laugh-in. He was an accomplished violinist and had played in Carnage Hall. On his shows, though, he never played more than 2 or 3 notes before stopping with some funny remarks. On Laugh-in, everyone expected him to say something as usual but instead he played dead serious. It was hilarious because it was so unexpected.
