I have a replacement buttstock on a 250f that has cut checkering and aluminum buttplate, non Monte Carlo. Wondering what model had a stock like that?

My Dad's 1963 F has cut checkering and aluminum butt plate. Factory must have ran low and they used a DL plate. The 99F was catalogued with a corrugated steel buttplate thru the 60's. It went to a hard rubber buttplate the last few years.

The 110's from 1958-64-ish? had cut checkering and aluminum butt plates. I don't have a 99 from that time to compare, but I wouldn't be surprised if the aluminum butt plates were the same size and shape.

The aluminum butt plates on the 99s are nearly straight. Very little curve as compared to the steel ones.

Might it be the original stock that had a recoil pad added then replaced with a later aluminum plate?
Are there numbers and letters stamped on the ead of the wood stock?

The numbers on the back of the stock are 4R1 The curved buttplate fit is excellent.

Yep, 110's were catalogued with aluminum buttplates in 1959.

That means the 110 was ahead of its time. The DL came out with the aluminum BP in 1960. It was a portent of the future.
