Had one on a 258 powered CJ.

Made it sound like an IH 560.

Yeah, all Flowmasters do that.

We stopped installing them, unless the customer supplied them.

That way, the drone was their problem !

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

I had flowmasters that were on a 2000 Denali with a 5.7 when I bought it. I never got a headache. Loved that sound.

That’s when you tell people it’s a balanced and blue printed 454 with high compression heads with edlebrock 750 feeding it fuel! Those glass packs did wonders for the ol gutless wonders from 70’s and 80’s

When my uncle was a kid he had straight pipes on his 70 GTO Judge. Old guy who was his neighbor once told me, “he was a pretty good kid, but he sure kept our street striped up with black marks and we could always tell when he left”. 😁

That's what I'm talkin about. My 68 Olds doing brake stand burn outs, air cleaner flipped 4 barrel sucking air like it was through a trombone, missing muffler I didn't get around to. I sounded like 3 sprint cars going at it! Making my whopping 200 hp hahahaha

For a modern, rowdy muffler - I'd be looking at Black Widow Exhausts.

I don't really want a modern rowdy muffler tho.

I had em on my 65 Mustang and then a 72 Bronco, these days I like a quiet comfortable truck.
If I want to wake up and piss of the neighbors I start up the Harley

When we were sophomores in high school by buddy Del and I built two mufflers out of 1/8" steel. It was a vo-ag project.

We sorta copied the Dynaflow(?) design and called them Delflo's.

They were heavy sonsabitches!

Talked the local muffler/exhaust guy into fitting them onto my '74 IH Scout.
(trying to think if it wasn't an '89 F150?)

Regardless, holy chit they sounded kinda terrible. If you ran the RPM's up and quick let off the gas they made sort of a weird pop back fire noise.

Oh we thought it was awesome....lol
