Has anyone tried 180gr BT in the big 8? Just wondering what powders you used. Was thinking RL22.

I’ve always wanted one, should be a good bullet. I use them in 8 Mauser. I’ve hit pigs up close, bullets passed through shoulders, didn’t blow up.
When I say close, I’m talking ten feet, pigs I’ve trapped.

Local buddy had one... he had never reloaded for it, and asked me..
he was planning on RL 22, but I had had some of those bad batches of RL 22, so I had switched over to RL 19... that is what he reloaded his 8mm Rem with and was very happy with its accuracy..
just passing that on..
but since that time I've also picked up on RL 23.. which seems to be RL22 but temp unsensitive...
Used RL 25 also, but I don't shoot many of my big boomers anymore..300 WM or 338 WM/
