I saw an Amazon delivered copy of David's second book yesterday. It arrived via Canada Post in a box big enough for half a dozen copies. The book was not wrapped in any way, there was a small piece of bubble wrap in the box which was free to bounce around with the book. The predictable result was a book with all corners bent inwards, cover ripped in two pieces and the spine damaged so book will tend to open at that page forever. Cost to order the book and have it sent to Canada was $111 CAD.

That sucks.. I've had quite a few Amazon items show up in much larger boxes. But Amazon delivery down here seems to treat packages pretty good so no damage yet.

Hope they return it and get another. It won't impact David's revenue.

Sorry to hear the book got damaged. I pack the ones I ship media mail with a good wrapping of bubble wrap and they are tight in a cardboard cover. I don't know what it would cost to ship a single copy to Canada. It would have to go priority international. It cost almost $190 to ship ten in one box to Ontario.

Our Amazon packages seem to arrive OK. Can't say the same about the yard and flower bed. We have a slight "S" shape in our drive, they pull in every time, then back out. Half the time they back into the lawn, the other half into the flower bed. When I retired form UPS almost 7 years ago, the trucks sent a message back to the center every time the trans was put in reverse. They were pretty crazy about backing up. "If you have to back, back first, before circumstances can change". If the Amazon gal did that, I'd have a nicer lawn and garden. i never rat them out.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

Bass Pro Shop is abolutely terrible for that. I've gotten a handful of ice fishing tackle from them in boxes big enough to hold a bowling ball several times.
