Hollywood needs to make one on Jackson’s valley campaign
I look forward to the film showing Jackson’s genocide of black Americans and the burning of churches full of union loving babies and 1860’s trans activists.
You sir don’t know schit about stonewall Jackson
And here I thought the “1860’s trans activists” quip was just a bit too much. Apparently not.
I saw it when it first aired. Actually the Hunley is what planted the seeds for the Alabama. 7mm

The favorite of the late Ethan Edwards (long time Fire member, and friend of mine) was Ride With The Devil.
I believe he knew some of the wranglers on that set.
Ride With the Devil is one of my all time top movies period.

All you yankey boys make sure you list in your top three that movie with Ferris Bueller that had all them 54th Massachusetts darkies that saved the whole Union….
Glory I think they called it.
Yeah
So nice
Blanket, Blackheart and Wabigoon can have a yankee yank-off fest. Toss in Tarquin to clean up the mess, he gets horned up over black history
Yep. Ever since Obama, everything that can possibly be seen as racism, is viewed as racism, at least if you’re white. I’ve even heard bitching about “Gods And Generals” is “a whitewash of Southern racism and white supremacy”!!! Myself, I have always thought that the story of the CSS Alabama begs to be put on the big screen. 7mm
Would be a good movie for diversity. As I believe Ol’ Raphael Semmes had very, very few sountherns let alone Americans on his crew.

Cold Mountain. My son's friend's father wrote the book and I've seen the mountain ( and read the book.) My buddy was an extra in Good Bad and Ugly in Spain. Stole his movie jacket and Eli Wallach's hat. Traded the hat for some dope. I must be famous!..... I had a 36 Navy too. I did not harbor a criminal for long.
This thread is making me feel a bit older than before I read it. I saw Shenandoah in a local theater with mom & dad when it first came out ... I was 13 at the time. Time flies when you are having fun they say, I must be having way too much fun, eh?
The new movie they’re going to make about the all black female union regiment that stormed the trenches at Petersburg and then captured Jefferson Davis and made Robert E. Lee strip down and carry their bags will be awesome. The side story about Jeff Davis’ LBGTQ son who has to be in the closet because of the evil Confederacy and who confronts his father only when they are upon the verge of liberation by the heroic black women will be pretty good too.
No love for Audie Murphy? No Red Badge Of Courage?? Apparently ol’ Royal Dano’s scene as the dying union soldier was cut from that flick as it was too authentic.
