Any of you own or had the opportunity to shoot a Toelke Pika longbow? I'm thinking that's my next step in this evolutionary sport...

They come in one and two pc. Lengths of either 54" or 56".
My trad draw length is only 26.5, so should be a good fit.
Use would be rec targets/3D, turkey and probably deer.

Anyone?

Yep owned quite a few over the years but stick to Zippers now. You’d probably be good with either length with the shorter draw length, but I highly recommend the two piece. I felt like they needed the additional mass weight of the bow bolt and a bow quiver to reach their full potential. Exceptional hunting bow, I had Dan build me a two piece #54 from Black and White ebony I never should have sold.

I'm much more of a recurve than longbow shooter but had a TD Pika a few years back. Nicely built bow & quiet shooting but it was way to light for me to shoot accurately.

The black and white ebony risers I've seen are incredible!
I'd thought about doing just a one pc to keep cost and weight down, but I totally understand that the bow can be too light. Maybe a micarta based one pc would suffice.

My longbow is Osage/Bamboo and a feather weight. It's 68" and due to it's construction, a strap on quiver really doesn't work that well. The ILF bow is 58" and much easier to shoot - the quiver works well on it, too. But I really like long bows and would like to move up to a custom.

Thanks for the feed back, guys.

I’m begging you…get the bow bolt! No one has ever regretted going two piece over 1 piece, but lots have gone the other way. Lots of used ones on the market, save your money that way!

I’ve been watching the used market. There’s some truly good buys out there if you can find the right fit.

Dan and Jared put out quite a few bows both building full time. A WTB add on any of the traditional bow sites should yield what you are looking for.
