Not an 11-87 but an 1100 barrel. I told the client to get a new barrel.

I've not seen that particular incident.. I'm doubting it can be repaired, but IIWY I'd call someone like Pat Laib (Laib's Gunsmithing in Spicer, MN) and run it by him.. (His shop is a Rem repair center)..

I had one exactly the same on an 11-87. Had a good welder (not a gunsmith) attempt a repair, no go, ended up getting a second hand barrel.

Repair is to silver solder a whole new barrel support.
Contact Ahlmans or whoever else is a factory repaiir center.
