My son and I went in 2016, it’s run exactly like it looks.

Those same streets of that 37 mile course are open to traffic until 10am each day, and again after the races are done.

Pedestrians line the course route. There are 80,000 people living on that island, nary a loose cat or dog seems to get loose on the course.

Seems like a few rider fatalities every year. The whole thing is amazing on several levels.

Far too dangerous for me.
I used to ride WAY dangerous on the streets, out in the country. Once I started riding track-days my street riding nearly stopped, < just like my track friends told me it would.
Riding on a racetrack you know no-one is going to pull out in front of you, no deer/dog/logs is going to be on the track. There's usually a good sized 'run-off' area and no buildings/parking meters/oak trees/concrete barriers to hit if you get out of control.
Like birdwatcher said there are riders killed there quite often, I've never been there but watched for a few years. Saw a guy wreck, ded without a doubt, red flagged in that spot, two brothers in the race, one comes around sees brother's bike destroyed, brother laid-out. Next time around sees his brother covered with a white sheet - ded.

I thought it was too dangerous and should have been stopped many years ago.

Better to go out splattered at 30 than shriveled in a nursing home at 90.
Long live the TT

Reminds me, I need to order another Guy Martin Proper wallet.

Fast is when those divided white lines become one solid white line.

Love watching the Isle of Man TT videos, some fearless dudes right there.

I raced flat track in my teens back when I thought I was bulletproof. Doc says my spine issues likely started back then.

Thanks for the video!

Yeah, I almost went out splattered at 41! 🤕
I'll take the "shriveled & 90"! Thank you very much!

The only marks at the scene was where the other car shoved my pickup backwards five feet!!!! I was doing 55 mph!
From the centerline of the lane I was traveling in to the centerline of my vehicle at rest was 20 feet....with no marks in between! Literally flew 20 feet through the air!!!!

Did Red Bull Crashed Ice at 47 years old, but the general consensus of everyone who came and watched was that I was crazy not brave.

They're probably not wrong.

No effing way I'd try that

Don’t need rubber when you have gyroscopic stability
