If knew you needed a 41 mag I would have sent you one I have no doubt buddy. But I think Bob has .41s like most people have pocket knives! Thank you for the kind offer though!

Mackay, after tomorrow it won't matter for a while, my elk hunt ends! Other than shooting my buck left handed with the 357 Maximum I haven't shot anything bigger than the 9mm since September & its starting to make me mad....but, nothing I can do about it. Went to the Dr. a few days ago & he said its coming along just fine. Ha! it's not, its coming along slow.

Dick Dick, Hang in there. You will get there. I had hand surgery two and a half years ago and did 6 months of every day physical therapy. Woke up one morning and the tendon on my left thumb had snapped and my thumb was just flopping in the breeze.

Just a couple old model Ruger Blackhawks here as far as 44 mag goes. Sweet revolvers Robb. Could you tell me what front sights those are? I have a couple 4 5/8" Super Blackhawks with the factory ramp sights that are getting harder and harder to see.
Leave the gun, take the canolis.

I almost... had a perfect group. (bottom group) But like I usually do, I shanked one. I was shooting some other loads and decided to shoot 12 of these heavy 300 grain hammers. They are true tack drivers in my Classic 29. 5 out of 6 went into a group that was .38 (minus the bullet width). But including the 6th one that I shanked, I blew the group out to 1.41"s.

Well you better send that 44 over here to Soda Springs, it's got some serious issues from the looks of that last group. Oh wait, I'm still shooting dumb handed, haven't healed yet. And there's not a blade of grass showing for 20 miles in any direction, pure white!

I know you would shoot it perfectly each and every time and then my confidence would be completely ruined! Hope your hand heals soon. It will be Whistle Pig season soon as well as Rock Chuck season, and you don't want to miss out on that!
Of course I am sure you will work around it no matter what.
Hope you heal soon my Friend!
Ted

Carried a 3" barreled talo edition 629 for many years. Used a diamond d chest holster. Whenever packing meat, was so nice to just leave the rifle at the boat. Good for finishing shots to the necks of wounded caribou and moose. Lots of hiking here in Alaska carrying it. Was about 39 oz unloaded.

Since there are M29-5 Classic revolvers on the market in Germany now and then, would a 29-5 Classic fit a standard 1930 El Paso holster made for a 6 inch N-frame revolver? I had a 1930 Austin made decades ago ordered for my M27 with 6 inch barrel but since the 29 Classic has the full barrel underlug I wonder if the holster would accomodate the full barrel underlugged gun. Do you by happenstance have a holster made for 6 inch barreld N-frames that would also fit the Classic model? Sure, the 29 Classic or another full barrel underlug gun like 586/686 won't fit into the Bianchi 5 BH(L) series for standard N- or L-frame holsters. As well as won't the M 617 fit into standard K-frame holsters since the holster were wet molded to the excact contours of the excact model.

I've got an inexpensive Triple K holster for my 4" 617 (I think its for an L-frame, actually) and my 4" M-27 fits in it, too, although it's pretty snug. Even the thumbbreak works, believe it or not. I got it from Midway, a couple of years ago, they probably still make it. While it's not ideal, it is functional, and moreover, it's not ballistic nylon. It's not a bad holster for the $60-70 I paid for it.
