I've posted these before, this was my last big project after Hurricane Sally. 400' of pier, boathouse, lift, decks, swim platforms, etc. I'll see if I can dig up a few pics of the 40' x 60' man cave deluxe I built before the boathouse.

Beyond hunting shacks this is the most ambitious building I've ever.
It was to be a hunting cabin/storage bldg on a new piece of property we had purchased waaaay back in the 90's.
The wife kept riding me to go ahead and put the house we were living in at the time on the market, i finally gave in but only at what I felt was a price where it most likely wouldn't sell at.
it went under contract in under 2 months and our 'getaway cabin' became emergency storage for toys, lawn mowers etc

I haven't done much but I did build my own house of short logs and timbers. I dug the basement. I mixed, poured, and finished the concrete. I put up the whole structure by myself and lifted every log into place. I did the flooring, and I did the roofing. I did the wiring and the plumbing. I built the septic system. I did not drill the well. If I did it again, I could do better, but I'm not even thinking of trying. GD

I built this for a stand I’m gonna hunt with grandson out of. My other platforms are 15 feet tall. This is safer for him. Does this count?

A little log cabin I built on our property. I did it all with hand tools, except a chain saw to cut the trees. I watched Alone in the Wilderness enough times that I wanted to try building my own log cabin. No where the quality of his, but almost 20 years later it’s still just as sturdy as the day I finished it.

Dang Miguel - that looks like a peaceful place.

Except for a couple of garages, I have not built any complete structures and certainly not a complete home. But, over the years have designed and built additions going all the way back to 72. Have posted some of these elsewhere so pardon duplication - here are some adds done to our recent home up in the national forest.

The vista room - aspen and rock features.

Just after we moved into our "new" place.

Ripped off old deck & built new one + new insulation, siding & had standing seam metal roof installed.

Ontario, huh? What do you use on mosquitos up there? I heard that the 12 gauge with #6 shot works well.

Over the last 30+ years I built my 900 ft/2 shop, a timber frame gambrel roof barn, big woodshed/shop, a new wellhouse, my actual HOUSE house, and so on. Basically I built everything on my land. Most recent project was a carport type roof last winter to park my boat under, off the side of my shop. I love building stuff.
