Cool Mauser Buckstix. I've not seen one with that additional "magazine box spacer plate" screwed to the bottom of the receiver before. Is it used to create extra depth mag box, or is it related to feeding the fatter cartridges? The rifle does look pretty deep through the action area. Looks like it found a good home!

Absolutely gorgeous. And since we know you can and will make ammunition for it, the operable question here is will you be just punching holes in paper or will it hit the field for game??

It extends the mag box capacity. All original Peterlongo rifles have the spacer plate. Absolutely gorgeous. And since we know you can and will make ammunition for it, the operable question here is will you be just punching holes in paper or will it hit the field for game?? Mostly paper, and hunting whitetail deer here in Wisconsin.
