Last night's game marked a major milestone - the first time I ever remember the National Anthem being skipped before a game. Unbelievable.

So much for paying respect to a Nation that allows sports to be such a high dollar business. While most of the players are well off, their contemporaries continue to fight and die for their Country.

Was it played before being broadcast, or simply not played at all?

Not played at all. As if they couldn't just run a CD version instead of ditching it cause the field was too wet to have some talentless idiot ruin it vocally. How long does it take to play a prerecording? 90 seconds?

just another reason to not watch the NFL.
