How much of their stuff is made in China?
Might as well go to Walmart instead of being a dumbass and paying $300 for boots made in Hong Dong Dang Back when the EPA was 1st established, one of the first things they did was to outlaw the glue used to attach soles to shoes. There was no good substitute so only sewn-on shoes could be made in the US after that. In one regulation, they destroyed most of the US shoe industry. Once it was gone, it was gone for good.

Not sure about that. What's more manly man than a beard? Duluth Trading has beard products too, and they haven't gone downhill; at least IMHO. The fugg is a beard product? You wash it with the soap and water in the shower. That's it.

I won't mention names, but lice combs and crab ointments come to mind.

I buy socks once in a while. I say once-in-a-while because they seem to last forever! No complaints for L.L. Bean.

Seems like all the great outdoor stores have gone liberal. I guess they have gone liberal when they ask you where you are from and when you tell them you have a Maine Moose tag, they go get a guy who is their Moose guru. He asks you what unit and then gets a map out and shows you the hot spots. We check it out and it looks like he is right. Opening morning, Bud kills a Moose in one of his indicated areas. They have some great Upland gear.

WAB , typically their products are quality and they stand behind it with their warranty. They’re stronger nowadays in their fishing , trekking , biking, kayaking then the hunting side but still have good products. The clothing is more urban than my taste and it’s typically only 2x max so I’m out . Have purchased a lot of knapsacks , GORTEX , knives , GPS products with typical good selection and people behind the counters that actually use the products , offer top knotch classes in fly casting . Before COVID no locks on doors , open 24/7 since I was a kid.

As a boy in Maine it was a treat to go to the store or receive a gift from there. I get into Bean's once a year, and my visits are shorter each time. The lifetime warranty is gone. The merchandise isn't anything to get excited about and the prices do not reflect the quantity.. They have become an urban outfitter sadly.

Filson used to put "Might As Well Have The Best" on their products but that's been gone for a while.

I stop at the Freeport store when I make the trip to Maine. They still have some good hunting related stuff but not like years ago, quite a bit of fishing stuff. Everything changes.

I hadn't ordered from them in years. When the Marxists called for a boycott because of a granddaughter on the board of directors contributed to the Trump campaign I started purchasing from them again..

I would never buy anything from them directly, given their utter wokeness (and the cost!), but I do buy LL Bean stuff on ebay. Their stuff is well made, and I can find things that actually FIT me... which is VERY difficult to do.

Late last summer my little sister got married and I needed to spruce up my wardrobe.
Wife ordered me several shirts and couple pairs of pant from Bean. Most of it didn't fit right so we sent it back.
Zero issues on the return and the two shirts I did keep are both pretty nice I guess.
That's my Bean story.

Me and Robin both wear the Eddie Bauer Skyliner down jackets (made famous by Jack O’Connor) and have EB down comforters on the beds….all high quality products. Wearing the LL Bean Storm Chaser Arctic Grip/Vibram boots for the last 6 or 7 years, high quality boots that really work and that I’d buy again.

Wearing Eddie Bauer Guide Pro pants right now. Same, but fleece lined for winter. Have almost quit wearing jeans because of these pants, or the cheaper Wrangler ATG that’s similar.
