Was magic decades ago, along with ACRAGLAS.
Now I realize it's just one of many epoxies.
Still keep the original and 5 minute.
Can't remember the brand, but you haven't seen Adhesive Cool until you try using 1 minute epoxy.
Real deal, no BS. One part is dyed so you can see them mix. You don't have time for extra stirring!

Use it a lot to repair Gun Stocks. It smells like the Ramset/Redhead Epcon Concrete Epoxy which is some excellent product.

i used JB to put the drain valve back on the septic tanks of my horse trailer 6 years ago and it is still holding and not leaking.
another time i used it to seal a plastic gas tank that the exhaust pipe had melted a small hole in. it held gas till i sold the truck three years later.

I use it all the time, though not on anything "impossible".
It is the ONLY epoxy that I have found to be reliable at all. EVERY other epoxy I have ever tried is absolute crap. JB Weld sets up reliably, it sticks (except for plastic, it's pretty hard to get anything to stick to plastic), it works. Had what was plastic on a jet boat motor last spring at cold bay. It had worn down and throttle would slip over the worn spot and not work. Figured getting it to stick would be hard. Like UHMV to me. So roughed with file. Filed area away and created a mini mechanical lock for the JB. Built up with taped off dammed area. Let sit for 2 days waiting to set up camps. Filed it back down. Survived 25 days in the bush with it. Sure hope they got the new part. Actually IIRC it came in before we left Cold Bay but we brought the motors back in to work on in a shop later.

Don't confuse JB Weld with the Kwik version. They're different products. The Weld is slow to cure but much stronger. The Kwik is for plastics, patching holes, etc. It's a lot faster but not nearly as strong.

I've got a 40+ year old 10/22. The scope base holes in the receiver got cobbled up over the years so I used jb weld to secure it. Hasn't moved in 10 years. This is the rifle I keep in my farm truck 24/7. Looks a little rough but never loses zero.

I was using JB 25 years ago on semi auto rifles. I am using Devcon now on bolt rifles.
A typical compressive strength value for epoxies is about 10,000psi. Devcon is stronger in compression than JB, but Devcon is more brittle. So it depends on the application..... gluing or hard filler.
