How about a tomahawk or hatchet? I can’t speak for one being thrown, put one of my best friends served several tours in Iraq and carried a tomahawk with him and he said it has saved his life on several occasions. He doesn’t like to talk much about the war but he has seen some sh|t. He did say just carrying it put a certain amount of fear into the Iraqis. I believe something similar to this. I commented to my uncle, as we were walking around in the Nevada desert, "When we were kids, we would have been almost certain of getting caught in quicksand on a hike like this". Hell, it happened every week. As far as commonplace accidents are concerned, getting caught in quicksand has been replaced by getting t-boned by a garbage truck. GD

I was killed that way once.
Remember I had been goading this tall thin fellow who just wanted to be left alone napping against a rail fence. I was pretty fast with a revolver I was wearing & after a lot of bullying & a target based contest which was inconclusive he killed me in the duel I insisted on. Lots of witnesses standing around.
Or was that just a scene from “The Magnificent Seven”?

If someone really was good at throwing a knife---. I bought a set of throwing knives a few years ago. I was so good I gave them away. Won't be buying any more throwing knives.
