Wow, that’s some shoot’n……especially in those conditions! Though, I’m assuming that it’s not -50 F! If it is…….you’re way tougher than I am! 😉
Congratulations on snatching up some stuff at good prices!
I’ve done OK myself, I got a few rounds loaded for that 8-56 R. When it gets a bit warmer, I’ll see if I can hit a 2’x2’ piece of freezer paper @100…..without blowing up the old rifle! 😁
I also grabbed up 2# of RL 7 for my 45-70. Things are starting to look pretty “cheery” around here! memtb

Just scored 10k recently manufactured CCI 300s LPP $600. Given current retail prices and availability… I am pretty pleased with the find. That an 8# jug of Bullseye I picked up recently will keep the 1911s fed for a good while to come.
For hunting rifles, I have enough components to hunt the rest of my life. Maybe not enough for lots of range play but definitely enough make meat.

I've got enough primers, bullets and powder to last the rest of my life (and like most of you, I shoot alot). That said, I never pass up a good deal on any of these items. Remember the Covid lock downs? These are all "essentials".

Not me. I pretty much gave up ALL of my rifles, bullets, primers, brass etc... Then went down and changed my party affiliation to Democrat... I hope Joe Biden runs once again.....

I want another box of large rifle primers
You ain't about that life.

I'm in fair shape on most stuff. Could still use some WLR primers and a few other odds amd ends for some new cartridges I've acquired the past couple years. Other than that I am in good enough shape now to shoot for several years at my usual rate of consumption.

Like where I wrote -400 yds- on the paper. I had to give up early yesterday because the rain was moving in!!! Wind started picking up as well. I'll be interested to see how that old 8x56R shoots for you man. I have a buddy in Oregon that tells me he still can't find crap up there for reloading components. I told him he needs to get his butt off the couch and look around. I never had problems finding stuff when I lived there. Now he says where I live is much better for finding deals. Nah, not really. My buddy reminds me of a lot of guys here. Although, it took him over 2 years to scope one of his new rifles and shoot it. I'm glad to hear you are starting to see RL7 there. We've had it here for about 4 months. So, maybe it is slightly better in the west?? This is just the little hardware store where I live, but they have had powder since I've moved down here. When I first moved, they had 10 pounds of AR Comp and I snagged all of it!!! The guy at the counter said, "boy I'm glad someone bought that, everyone here uses CFE223".. I said, boy you guys have a lot of learning to do then...

I'm lacking on bullets and large magnum rifle primers. I do have plenty of lead and a few different bullet molds for emergency use. My thoughts are you can always use more powder and primers. But even during the worst of times GB had all I needed for a price.

I have Rem 9.5 and tried them but accuracy wasn't as good as the crappy Fed 210.

....do you have a supply on hand?... Only enough for the rest of my life, and the rest of my kids' lives. Well........with the possible exception of single base rifle powders, cuz they may or may not deteriorate over the long haul.

Just a couple of exceptions. If I buy another gun, it's always more enticing to me to buy something I don't already have - so with the purchase of another gun I could quickly become brass poor. Also, as states start to turn more and more to lead free bullets - I will be short of I need to shoot copper only. But - I'm doing pretty well with other supplies, and have enough I could attract a trade I'm sure if I had a component need to fill. I've got too much of some things I don't use.

I'd like to think I'm good. But we don't know what will be available in six months. I know I've enough hunting ammo to last.
