I will be listing six guns right now and then going back and adding photos. I will keep adding more as quickly as I can. It is a 29 marked as a 27. No 27s were made in 44magnum, 27s have a "checkered" strip down each side of the top strap, and they are the same frame size. When discussing value the thoughts flew in every direction, from winning the lottery to surely someone will think it is very cool. It has been shot quite a bit and carried, but aside from sharp edges the blue is quite good, Pachmeyer grips, serial #1794xx, S well in front of the serial. 6 7/8" barrel, pinned and recessed. Mis-marked guns from S&W occur more times than one would think… Not really a big deal or any added value. I have had several. Go to the S&W forum and start a thread and you will get lots of mis-marked gun replies.
