I have a chance to get an 8-pound jug for $175.

I load for 243, 308, 708 and 223. What experience have you had with this powder?

Thanks

Tracy

I assume you know that it is discontinued?

I have used it some in 6.5 Creedmoor and .375 H&H. Regarding your list of cartridges, being very much like H4350, it should work well in the 7mm-08 and in .243. I don't think it has any use at all in .223 and little to none in .308. Hodgdon's site has some load data for it.

That's a lot of shooting for not much coin.

Even though it is discontinued, I would buy it.
Think I could find a load for the .243, & 708...Mayne even the .308 too.

If you don't want it, you can always make trade

I may get it and trade for the powders I use.

Seems kinda slow for those calibers I bought a couple pounds for use in a 338-06. Like 25-06said you could always trade or sell it.

It is excellent in the 243. I'd jump on it.

Works well in .270 Win, .30-06, and even in my .30-40 Krag. But I'm rationing it because I have other powders work well in the .270 and '06, but conserving some for the Krag,

It is a close replacement for the 4350 powders. It’s temperature stable and has reduced copper fouling, I’ve read.

I think it would be good for your 243 for most bullets and 7mm-08 with heavier bullets.

That price is a steal in today’s market IMHO.

I prefer classic.

I have used it for load testing with the Creed. It is almost identical to the Re 16 and H4350. I use it now in my 30-06. A near max load behind a 150 Interlock for 3080 fps from a 22-inch Savage.

I’ve had really good results in the 243 and 30/06.
