I have just purchased a TCR Aristocrat and 3 barrels. Why, you ask? I don't know but I've had several over the years, liked them all but sold them after a while. I'm hoping I can just settle down with this one and enjoy what it has to offer. 22 Hornet, 223 Rem and 308 Win should give me lots of options.
Will be looking for scope bases. They are getting hard to find but if anyone has a line on one, I would appreciate it. It'll keep me from being forced to have one made by my gunsmith.

A standard Weaver 405 base fits/works fine. Weaver chart here: https://www.weaveroptics.com/on/dem...les/weaverPdf/2020_WeaverMountsChart.pdfNot as pretty perhaps as the Leupold or Redfield steel mount but a lot less $ and far more available. One TCR barrel I bought in large part b/c it came with the steel base & rings at a price that was ridiculously low. RAS

I have a Weaver 405 base and a set of factory iron sights. I would sell either or both. Send me a private message if interested. I also have a nice vintage Buehler base and ring set for the TCR that I've been saving for a special barrel that might come along, but it will not be cheap!

I have one 405 base but the places I look show new ones to be discontinued. I'll check again.

It'll keep me from being forced to have one made by my gunsmith. The stock Weaver 405 base extends forward, beyond the front end of the monoblock, unnecessarily. I hack mine off even with the front of the monoblock and cut a new cross-slot:

I grabbed one a few weeks ago, a .22-250 from the Custom Shop, and have since added a 7mm-08 barrel for it. They have always intrigued me, as well.

I think the discontinuing of the mount is pretty recent so there will be some in inventory at local shops.

I think the discontinuing of the mount is pretty recent ... Geologically speaking, maybe. I got what could well have been the last two from Midway a couple or three years ago. Happy hunting!

Quite possibly. I bought one from Midway but it may have been in the more distant past than what I remember.

Thanks Pete. I thought about calling them to see if there is a chance to get one made. Also thought of asking my gunsmith to tap the barrel and drill holes in a Warne mount to match.
