Does anyone make a small slim line 40 cal? Like a Glock 43

S&w Shield 40. I have one and it's quite good but all those pistols are very slim for my hands and I prefer more girth. Still I like it and I like the Shield 45. I think the Shield 40 is discontinued but they can be had used cheap. I picked up mine like new for $190

I recently added a S&W M&P 2.0 Performance Center Shield in 40 S&W and it it's getting some carry time this spring.
It has a 4-inch barrel, and it has a seven round single stack magazine. The $75.00 rebate was a nice touch as well.
As much as I enjoy my SIG P239's in 40 S&W, the Shield is growing on me. The Shield is lighter, similar capacity, barrel is a little longer and, in a Vedder IWB, holster it carries easy.
Will probably use the rebate to add a couple of spare magazines.

Not sure if it is still being made but the Kahr CW 40 was a pretty small 40 S&W that carried easy but was a handful to shoot.

The closest I've used is the Shield that Theoldpinecricker mentioned. Like him, the slim grip...especially slim width....isn't the most comfortable in my hand. It's still fairly wide front to rear but side to side is very thin. It's still plenty usable/shootable, but the thinner grip doesn't feel comfortable in my palm when shooting.

That platform will probably be the next Glock model. A single stack 40 cal like the G48. Wait for it!

The Shield is hard to beat for a single stack in any caliber. For a little wider grip, the first-run M&P40C is also great and gives you 9+1 with a flush fit mag.

Any single stack 1911 in 40 I should look at too?

Sig 1911 Match. Standard 1911 features, good adjustable sights. All the pros and cons of a well made full sized 1911. Accurate.

Discontinued…but they’re out there. Just seen one on GB for $469 NIB. Not the $399 I got mine for a few years back, but not a horrible price either.

If we're going to consider discontinued models and full size (but slim), there were HiPowers in 40.

Also discontinued compacts - the all steel Kahr K40, and Springfield made the EMP which was so popular around here not so long ago in 40.

I've been pretty impressed with the Smith .40 pc in 4"...no goofy slide porting, the hi-viz sights haven't fallen out yet, and haven't had a hiccup yet. I fear they'll probably be discontinued because they're in .40 and because they don't hold a lot of rounds.

I bought one off of Gallery of Guns, was impressed enough to get another a month or two later, and their serial numbers are about three digits
from each other. Not fast movers, apparently.

Springfield Armory makes a 40 cal. in the same reduced frame size 1911 as the 9mm.

^This. Not megacapacity but very concealable and quite shootable.

I don't know if they still offer it or not but Taurus made the 740 Slim.
40 cal, single stack, 6 in the mag, one in the pipe. 19 oz. Double strike capability.

I have the 9mm version in their 709 Slim and it's one of the easiest to hit with 9's I've ever used.
