I agree that Wayne LaPierre need to get the F**k out, but if not for the NRA over the years, we'd all be reduced to slingshots. No other gun organization has the political clout that the NRA has, none. I'm a life member for many decades.

The tip of the iceberg. WLP needs to be gone along with the officers that relentlessly kept him in & along with the accountants or the folks that approved of/signed off on WLP's expenses. I agree on all of that.

I was an ardent NRA supporter for many many years. When the wlp stuff came to light I quit donating and let my membership lapse. Not one red cent until he and the board are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Member since 1977, Life Member since 1994, Endowment since 2000 quit giving to NRA but still have my memberships - no additional money until they clean house. I give to GOA now (and it's NC affiliate, Grass Roots NC). GRNC actually gets pro-gun firearms legislation passed into law in NC, something NRA is no longer effective at.

I’ve mostly been an NRA annual member since my teens. Have been a lifetime member for about 15 years but give nothing them anymore. My money goes to GOA and at times MGO (grassroots Michigan Gun Owners group). MGO did a lot to push for concealed carry laws in MI but can be Fudish at times IMO so it’s just been GOA the past few years. I gave up money that I couldn’t really afford at the time for an NRA lifetime membership because I believed that it was the right thing to do. Now realizing that I got hoodwinked by WLP for his suits, vacations, and mistress still pisses me off.

Handwriting on the wall. 75 member board and the requirements for a petition nominee are a toxic combination. I only voted for one person on the last ballot, that was the only petitioneer.
