Just a heads up on Tac 22 - I just got an email notice from Shaw Armament that they have Tac 22 on sale for $2.99 per box. This is the 1083 fps stuff, which groups very good in my Tikka and Cooper. (sub 1/2' 5 shot groups at 50 yds)

Just in case you are concerned about the company - I bought some ammo from Shaw Armament a couple of weeks ago and communication was good, shipping was prompt and reasonable. That was my first purchase from them but it went well enough that I feel ok recommending them.

My case of TAC22 has shot very well. Have a similarly "lucky" case lot of CCI SV equal in accuracy. Both are a smidge better than my lot of CCI Sub-HPs. Started using a Waltz die to make HPs out of SV or TAC. We've been killing pigeons with the "homemade" HPs. Works as well as the CCI sub-HPs.

Have had good experiences with Norma rimfire ammo in the past.

Also purchased some Remington 17HMR ammo to try. Hard to pass up at $13.49/50 rounds given prices I see today. Likely it’s same stuff as CCI, Hornady, Federal, etc…. branded Remington. Okay with me, I’ve found some pretty good shooting lots within all of those brands. In addition the shipping was free added on to my Norma ammo purchase, $14.95.

Certainly hope ammo and component prices come down significantly it the weeks, months, years ahead. Might come to pass I’ve paid too much today. If that time comes I’ll not regret the few bucks overpaid for the fun and freedom I’ll have to enjoy shooting/hunting this summer.

It is good ammo although oily to the touch and is definitely lower powered. Was out yesterday target shooting with a little 3.8" .22 pistol, the Tac-22 went "pop! pop! pop!" and the recoil just did work the slide enough for reliability. CCI AR Tactical in comparison made a "CRACK!" with vigorous recoil - for a .22, that is.

The Norma was also a tad more accurate in this particular pistol. I mostly use the Norma ammo in a Savage Mark II heavy barrel for 100-150 yard plinking where it does quite well.

just as a pieceof info . justfound winchester dynapoint ammo at SGAmmo been looking for years used to be my go to for sq.well stocked with tac 22 very accurate . one comment no matter the ammo 17 or 50 hollow point or even a marble in a slingshot if you head shoot a sq its dead.

Norma has great sales on its website occasionally.
