He has been a member since Jan 03.
His username is bull.
He doesn't post alot, but says he is on daily.

Met the man about 30 miles from the house down I 24 off exit 35 at the McDonald's.
Spoke with him at great length.
Lotta subjects...
I could have spoken with him for hours.
We had alot of common ground.
Squared away guy.
Solid......πŸ‘πŸ»

I want to thank him for reaching out to me via PM and offering me the chance to buy this AL390 silver mallard camo turkey gun.
When he texted me pics after pm contact.
I called him with 10 mins after those pics were sent.
I will buy this SG.

I can't be happier.
390 24" turkey gun
390 28" Dove gun
Savage 220 slug gun.

I'm set on shotguns now..

Been a eventful weekend per the other 390 barrel thread for me.
A series of disappointing events at the time early saturday morning and then 5 major planets lining up is the way I can describe how it all went down

Sold the 935 for 575 to a fellow army retiree/ turkey hunter at the gunshow I went again yesterday morning.
2 hours of hearing tables and ridiculous offers, and tire kickers/ know zilch gun curiosity talkers.
Ran into that 1 guy on his quest...

He knew what the gun was, he knew the value of the components on it.
He knew what a basic factory went for.

His eyes lit up examining it.
His eyes really lit up when I screwed out a custom milled .670 Rhino turkey choke
His eyes lit up at a 10 inch pattern shot in 42 Β° weather pic.
And then when I said I got 10 LB shells the gun is patterned too per lot# that goes with it.
He gave me my 575 asking price.
That guy has a solid 95% condition turkey gun now and was as happy as I am right now also.

I got a Beretta to break down and clean and lube.

Got alot of stuff to buy for this over time.
Only thing I'm doing today outside of clean and lube.
Is switch out the recoil pads.
πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Tru glo pro series adjustable sights
Jebs .665 choke
And Apex 3 inch 2.25 oz # 9,s
All on the future horizon for this gun.

My Swiss bank account squirrel away money is tapped out right now
I had enough for 2 packs of smokes and a fountain drink on the way home.
πŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺ

But this gun will be in the woods in the next 2 or 3 days as it is with the Carlson .665 in it and lead 5,s I have on hand.

After it was a done deal.
We talked at length even more.

I gave him this early archaic stemmed and serrated kirk as a token of my great appreciation for reaching out to me via PM and allowing me the opportunity to buy this gun from him.

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

He said he shot 3 turkeys with it over the years and it has been a safe queen.
I assured him the gun will be hunted and held onto and passed down eventually.
Instant core group status firearm.
Unobtanium and not to be wishy washy about or haggle on price( which was extremely excellent)
Per text pics he sent.
Per convo immediately after.
I told the man flat out when he named his in the PM then talking to him after he sent pics.

I will buy it. 0 hesitation on my part
And I ain't gonna say what it was, other than he asked what he paid for it long long ago as his price.

It was good to meet you Ren. Wish we had more time to visit---you have my number if you get down this way and need anything.

Now go find a big tom for your new shotgun!

You kept this gun really clean!!
0 wad fouling in the barrel or forcing cone.
I'm basically just hitting tiny spots with dental picks and q tips.
Good soaking with # 9.
Wipe down and lube.
Hardest thing about a 390 complete take down is depressing that tiny big Ole spring pressured pin to screw the piston rod out and get the Mag spring and follower out.
It can be.....
Annoying...πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€ͺπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
BTDT...

I can't express enough gratitude for you reaching out to me to sell me this gun.

Tommorow is a 3 inch #6 LB quest, 5,s will suffice
Put that set of factory supplied tru glo clip over rib fiber optic sights on it

Hopefully put 2 shots on paper also tommorow.

Perfectly good gun man.
Nothing I found wrong with it at all.
Been using 835,s 935,s and 930,s for a long time.

Just wanted to turn my 28" black Beretta into a combo gun with a 24" barrel.
Had been thinking about it a long time.

This all lined for me.
And buying bull,s Beretta was a no Brainer for me!!
Opportunity presented itself and if you drag you feet, alot of times Opportunity disappears.
When I held this 390 for the 1st time earlier today.
I felt like a kid at Christmas.
390,s come up real natural for me.
Hard to explain
They fit me.
Slumlord started this 390 quest on me about 9 or 10 yrs ago when I refinished the stock on his.
And then shot it.
I spent about 8 or 9 years looking for one .
Have done that with alot of makes and models of guns I look for.
Passed on about 6 or 7 due to condition.
You gotta have the discipline to walk away sometime
Found my 28" black 95% condition gun
Bull,s 390 he just sold me 95% condition gun also.
Asked him if I could field strip it real quick.
Seen what I had to see and inspect real quick and it was all πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Pump Firepower

Been looking at the Berreta A300 patrol also.
Lot of semi auto fire power for the money

Something still says in the back of my mind after the SDS Tokarev fiasco ( total POS) But it looked cool..

I want a home defense SG also.
Like I ain't got enough HD guns or wpns to begin with.
And their is a difference between a gun and a wpn.

Ain't gonna happen man.😁
Because.....
Thats not a Beretta USA made Wally world gun.
That is a 100% Italian made steelium and quenched barrel and 100% Italian made early Aluminum Receiver.
This turkey gun is the same.
100% Italian.
Both imports per Berreta USA.

I had one of those in 270 Win, O'Conner's 'unbelted magnum', which i killed several deer with until my brother cried enough that I gave it to him and he killed several nice bull elk with it. That's a nice gun.
