You are really puzzled aren't you? A lot of people have cameras in their vehicles nowadays. Motorcyclist often wear GoPro headsets. Cameras are everywhere, people have them to record the crazy road rager or in case they have an auto accident, even to record stops by law enforcement. Cameras in vehicles are fairly common.

This takes place on a parking lot. Think about it, when you are looking for a parking spot aren't you easing along looking for an open spot, looking for someone backing out and watching out for people on foot? The shooter has stopped in the lane ahead, the vehicle with the camera is easing down the lot looking for a parking spot and the shooter steps out and the shooting starts. Bad luck, you happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. What are you gonna do, sit there and take fire? Not if you have any sense, you back the F'up as quickly as you can without running over anyone or hitting another car which might stop you from escaping the shooting. It's not that hard to figure out what is happening unless the tinfoil on your head is wrapped too tight.

The person with the camera in the car could have floored it and run over the shooter.

Maybe. Who knows who the driver of that vehicle was. Most people wouldn't think of that and when fight or flight kicked in they were breaking camp and getting outta Dodge.

Someone drove a car into a crowd somewhere also (only read the headline). Killed 8. Won't get much traction, probably, but we gotta ban all semi-automatic (assault) cars now, for sure!

Yes..looking back at the video the driver was probably just unaware. No speeding up or erratic driving. Probably not assisting. Cameras are everywhere we cannot hide. I’m not familiar with downloading video from onboard eom cameras on vehicles. Didn’t know they were stored for later access. But you’re saying aftermarket cameras are commonly mounted. Maybe I should get out more but I’ve not seen those.

But the puzzled part. Not really puzzled just questioning. I take very little at face value anymore. Posted other questions on another thread about why all the ammo and leaving the target rich mall. Bristling mags out of his vest. Why didn’t he use them? Extending that why didn’t he use the vehicle? And stacking the bodies? Maybe just odd or weird or confused or even puzzled.

Not uncommon to have both front and rear facing cameras now ( plenty of rear vid on YT dashcam crash stuff ).

We do need to outlaw automatic transmissions. If his car had been a stick shift, there wouldn't have been nearly as many victims.

Would you have in that exact situation? I wouldnt have. Too many questions for what was happening. In this chithole country, you can almost guarantee you would be going to jail for a long time. Especially when some disgusting disgrace of a prosecuter gets ahold of posts one makes on the internet and twists to use them against you

I grew up in Allen and graduated high school there in the early 90's

it's changed considerably over the last 30 years, but the demographic of it, and Collin County in general is still mostly Caucasian. it's very white, largely republican and generally conservative.

if the guy was a white supremacist, attacking a mall in Allen seems WAY off target.
