I don't watch any NBA, other than every so often seeing highlights.
I used to listen to some ESPN and Fox Sports radio, but don't anymore.
I was a kid in the 70's and 80's and saw a lot of the 90's basketball. Being white and by being so a fiat racist, I quit watching sports for the most part, but having played football in college and being a fair basketball player at one time, I still enjoyed my time playing the actual sports.
It seems to me modern sports analysts feel the need to put modern athletes ahead of everyone before them, not once negating several surgeries or the economics had the modern persons played 20 or 50 years ago.
With that/those qualification(s), who is the greatest or being a team sport, who is in your NBA Top 5?
I have my own opinions, but would like to hear yours.

None of them, ever. Get a real job.
That being said, Larry Bird probably takes the cake.

In no particular order
Wilt Chamberlain. Larry Bird Michael Jordan Bill Russell Steph Curry
NBA had rule changes specifically because of Wilt. He still averaged over 50 points a game one season. If he were better at free throws, his scoring record could have still be standing.

The only time I was totally amazed watching a basketball player was on TV in 1992 when Jordan hit six 3-pointers in the first half of Game 1 of the Finals. Prior to that game, Clyde Drexler said that Jordan couldn’t shoot 3-pointers. Jordan hit 6 in a row, in the first half.
It was amazing. You might remember it as the Shrug Game.
Jordan was the best ever in my opinion. Jordan was to basketball what Gretzky was to hockey.

I think that by 1967-68 he didn't really try to score. He almost avoided it. Do you know who holds the record for most free throws made in a game? (yes, Chamberlain sucked at the line).

Best at defense or offense?
Best rebounder?
Best 3 pt shooter?
Best foul shot?
Best sky hook?
And yeah, they've changed the rules so it's hardly the same sport as when Wilt, Ewing, Malone, etc played.

Once sat courtside at a Kings v Lakers game. Kobe was so quick he ran circles around the competition.
And I hate the Lakers but that guy was good.

Michael Jordan was a great shooter and scorer; won a lot of rings.
Kind of like John Havlichek...

“Chamberlain holds 72 NBA records, so many that it led former teammate Billy Cunningham to remark ‘The NBA Guide reads like Wilt's personal diary.’ He is best remembered as the only player to score 100 points in a single NBA game. He is also the only one to average 50 points in a season, or to gather 55 rebounds in a game. He also never fouled out of a game; and is the only player in NBA history to average at least 30 points and 20 rebounds per game in a season, a feat he accomplished seven times. Chamberlain ultimately won two NBA championships, four regular-season Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, the Rookie of the Year award, one Finals MVP award, and one All-Star Game MVP award, and he was selected to thirteen All-Star Games and ten All-NBA Teams (seven First and three Second teams). He won seven scoring, eleven rebounding, nine durability, and nine field goal percentage titles; and he once led the league in assists. Chamberlain played in college for the Kansas Jayhawks …” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilt_ChamberlainRock Chalk Jayhawk, KU!!!!! Anyone who puts Pipin above that is retarded.
