That is a really nice setup, great combination of grips and holster.
I’ve wondered what criteria S&W uses to designate a revolver model as a Combat Masterpiece. Anyone know? The criteria you asked about are, a tapered skinnier barrel than the Target Masterpiece, and usually a 4" barrel (they make/made 2" Combat Masterpieces, too). Then there's the M18 I mentioned earlier, the .22 Combat Masterpiece, with a tapered 4" barrel in .22LR. The one I used to have had VERY tight chambers, it was pretty hard to chamber .22 rounds in it, but if you could get the ammo into the cylinder, it shot like it had eyes of it's own. Damn it shot nice. Another fine revolver I should have kept..............
You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

Very nice piece. I’d like to see one in my local gun shop. It wouldn’t be there too long.

Wow Just Wow. Looks great with the leather esp the half and half tooling. BBQ gun pics for the win. Classic well appointed revolvers are always a welcome sight.
I used to only shoot shotguns and rimfires, then I made the mistake of getting a subscription to handloader.......

Love that revolver and holster.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Local dealer had several of the heritage S&W’s. Really sweet revolvers.
Been years ago, he didn’t have the Model 17 that looks like the .22 Outdoorsman. They’re bringing $1700 to 1800 now. That one I would have jumped on.

Mine had a red ramp front, white outline rear sight.
