I don't suppose they've increased the length of the magazine boxes in the short action to near 3" or the extra-short to near 2.5"?

Nice rifles. So they will be more comparable to a Tikka now?

When I asked Eurooptic about whether a 30-06 would be coming later, they said that they were told the 90 will not be coming in a 30-06.

The Sako website has been updated to show more calibers that will be offered in the new 90. They do show a 30-06 coming at some point.

For some of us, that is partially good news. They've added the Bavarian, Hunter & Varmint models to the previously announced lineup. So I like that.

They've added the following calibers to those models so I like that too!

222 Rem
223 Rem
22-250 Rem
243 Win
6.5 Creedmoor
7mm-08
308 Win
6.5x55 SE
270 Win
30-06
8x57 IS
9.3x62
270 WSM
300 WSM
7mm Rem Mag
300 Win Mag
338 Win Mag
375 H&H Mag

The thing that's missing that would make this announcement better is to say that they're going to make them available in left-hand models...which they failed to do. Since they announced the Peak would be available in LH models, I would have hoped they would have mentioned their intention to do the same for these models as well. Which is a bit of a disappointment since these are the models & calibers that interest me the most. I'll just cross my fingers & wait. As an LH shooter, it's always worrisome when it appears that my limited options might be getting smaller instead of expanding.

Except 1/9.5 twist. Was hoping to find 9" (or better, 8.5") to stabilize the high BC bullets, but they don't have a custom shop.

Was finding a load for my Sako 75 stainless earlier this week. I'm convinced there is not a finer factory rifle than Sako.

You might be right about that. I absolutely never had an issue to get a Sako to shoot, they are almost boring.

Doesn't bother me one bit. I am not shooting past 400 yards .

Different diameter bolts? This is exciting if true! That was a major detriment when Sako went to the same diameter bolts in the X91 series. That and the recoil lug system redesign.

Iā€™m right there with you Hanco.
