One of the first places I went when I became serious about landscape photography back in 2009 was atop the Paria Plateau in northern Arizona. After not visiting this location for several years, I ventured back there earlier this month to find that it is still a visual treat. Once the summer rains come and fill the reflection pools, a return trip will be in the offing. My first trip was with a 12MP Nikon D90 and 18-105 kit lens. The recent trip was with a new Fuji GFX 100s 102MP medium format camera. Many of my favorite images were taken with that D90 in the earlier years, and hence I would like to return to some locations to reshoot with the GFX.

Helped on a mule deer hunt up there in the mid 80s. Cut a fresh track in the sandy road and follow it out a long ways. One of my students Jimmy A and his dad hunted up there too.

Love that photo. Getting ready to order a roll or 24x100 ft satin paper from Red River paper just to do pano's with. Been cutting panos up to 19" out of 13x 19" paper and loving it! My Canon 9000 MkII printer is supposed to do up to 13x38 inch pano's! Just got done framing last night a 6.33x19" pano ofthe John Day River near Fossil, Oregon.

Had to do this. Shot of three of my dogs on a bird. Snicker and Sis on the bird and Stormy backing. Couldn't get a decent crop out of it so tried a pano crop! Did it 6x18 and really like it!

Then Snicker alone cropped to 8x16 inch's.

I too like pano crops. Have you tried pano cropping just Stormy in the first image to rid the buildings, Snicker and Sis, if you have enough pixels? Reminds me that I need to take more images of my GWP Clover in the field.

Ya know fooling with the crop I found that rather than say an 8x10 of a dog alone I much prefer something like an 8x16. Just appeals to me more. haven't tried cropping Stormy out of that photo by himself. will try that! Found it but don't think enough pixels, he went out of focus. have this of Snicker resized to 6x18 though and do like it!
