My wife and I just rented and watched Sisu. It was hilarious. Really more of a comedy in my mind than an action flic, even though there was plenty of action and gore. Anyone else seen it?
I was gonna see it in the theaters (no TV at home) before I looked at some clips on YouTube.
Cartoonish violence, unrealistic Wehrmacht, I lost interest.
Interesting that it’s out of Finland tho, I’d see it if I had streaming but otherwise I’ll pass.

I thought the covenant which we rented on Friday night was worth the money this one not so much… Certainly entertaining, but totally not realistic and in my opinion, not worth the tariff.
My wife and I still quote this old country boy we know, with his comment from years ago about some movie he’d just seen. “It’s a pretty good show. It weren’t no Smokey and the Bandit though.”
Why is a Finnish guy fighting Nazis? I'm no Stephen Ambrose but I'm pretty sure the Finns and the Nazis batted for the same team in WW2
Finland participated in the Second World War initially in a defensive war against the Soviet Union, followed by another battle against the Soviet Union acting in concert with Nazi Germany and then finally fighting alongside the Allies against Germany.

He's been my go to critic for awhile now. I especially like his mentions of the "unspecified virus from unknown location" and "the message".
He must be doing something right since there is a whole subset of youtube videos reacting to his reviews, i.e. reviews of reviews. Manly guys like his reviews, soy-boys and leftist types hate him.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Soviet Cease fire agreement in the summer of 44, had in the terms, that the Finns had to force the Germans out of Finland.
They pushed those in the north of Finland, that did not leave on their own orders, back into Northern Norway, which was occupied.
In the movie, if it was filmed in Lappland, I sure enjoyed seeing what Arctic Finland looked like. Thought that was pretty cool. Have always wished to visit Finland. When we lived in Europe in my youth, we visited most of the Continent that wasn't under communism in the 1960s. My folks never went to Scandinavia tho. I loved visiting Europe in my youth.
My dad was stationed in England with the USAF. RAF Alconbury.
