I don't envy police officers having to deal so often with the mentally ill. I agree. I'm often critical of police officers when they get heavy-handed, but I try to remember that they often deal with the dregs of society. That's got to be a tough gig.

I’ve ran into great cops that had an Andy of Mayberry attitude and a few a-holes. I’ve always complied and never got clubbed or shot. It isn’t a job that I’d want. Especially not today when you have people on a daily basis trying to do everything that they can to not comply and bait the police into doing something that can be twisted into a call Ben Crump moment.

She sure didn't sound like a lady. I think they drop the Lady voice BS after a few hits. Hits seems to kind of help them get back on track.
That one was kind of slow on the uptake though. After the first hit broke 2 ribs I would have become more compliant.

Back in the day just the sight of one was often enough to gain compliance. I left the job just before we lost them glad I was gone.
There are no problems that cannot be resolved by the suitable application of high explosive.
