Reworking another pen to take to East Texas. I built this pen and gate a few years ago for a friend. He went cheap, had me us 3/8 instead of 5/8. Pigs bent it all up, so I’m redoing it. He quit hunting, gave it back to me, 24 pieces of fence, two pig gates. They are 34” hog panel, making them 4 feet high now. There is some big ass pigs in Newton county, will put plenty drive posts to keep them from picking fence up. It seems like I’m always working on something. I don’t know how I had time to hold a job. No livestock to contend with there, no cows and no goats.

When feral hogs first became a nuisance I had a ball shooting and trapping them. Now several years later I see how much work they are and the amount of time they use up.

It does take a little time, have 4 round pens and a cage trap on the one lease. It takes time to go set them, check them, unset them when you are ready to leave. If you catch some, gotta kill them, load them on trailer, haul to bone yard.

Probably got that many last year, will have to make a count from the pics. Lots of pigs on this place, spring Fed creek runs through the place, so they have year around water, water comes up about a quarter mile from where I took pic.

Thank you, scraped together, got a hundred bucks in it. I added one more section to it, made it a little bigger.

Would you mind posting a couple pictures of your trap door. I’m looking to build a couple new traps. Thanks.

They would destroy the ball fields at one of the high schools. They had to fence to keep them out
