Got hit by an 18yard end dump once. No train.

The end dump was enough.

No, but I watched a drunk on a 4-wheeler drive straight into the side of a moving freight train at a crossing once.

I gave him a 5.0 for the attempt because his air-time and distance was impressive, but he would have scored higher if he had stuck the landing. As it was, he lost his entire right foot, having it pinched off by the train wheel(s) so he got a sympathy point.

Not me, but my dad, back in the 1940's was teaching a girl to drive and she failed to stop as the train was passing by. Tore the whole front of the car off without rolling the car over. Luckiest man alive as he told it!

Back in the 1920s my aunt was reading as she walked along coming back from lunch in Chicago, , and walked in front of a train. (She lost her place) but 2+ years later she got out of the hospital and lived to 104.

Almost when I was a teenager, I was walking down the tracks where there was a side track for passing, a train was stopped on the side track. I heard a train off to the south, thought that I had plenty of time to get on around the next curve but I was wrong. I had to dive off the side into a bunch of blackberry briars. Aside from eating a few ripe berries it was not funny at the time.

I heard of a guy who was killed by a train when it ran over his finger!

He was picking his nose at the time.

Had a real good friend killed as he was leaving town for the deer woods on a Friday nite after we got off work. He’d just filled both fuel tanks on his truck for the long trip. Bad deal.
