I'm posting this in the general big game forum as well.

I'm in the market for a larger tent, like a 6 man, which of course is actually a 4 man. I know this isn't the exact place to ask, but there's a lot of experienced guys here that may have some guidance.

So far I'm leaning toward the North Face Wawona 6, but also been looking at the Big Agnes Bunkhouse 6. And a couple of others. I like the large vestibules that offer some additional storage for gear, both hunting and family use.

You guys have any suggestions? Any experience with tents of this kind to offer?

Appreciate your input fellows.

For a dedicated car camping tent, I’d get a Kodiak canvas tent.

Easy to set up and sturdy. Tons of room for cots and gear. Run a heater and they are comfy in pretty damn cold weather.

They are just heavy bastards. Car/truck camping, not an issue.

Did years of fall/winter truck camping in the high Sierra's for deer season had everything from outfitter tent to Cabelas extreme tent but ended up with a Kodiak tent. Very rugged and easy to setup along I would highly recommend it.

Kodiak 10x14. Awesome tent. Absolutely only downside is weight, but with car camping it’s not a worry.
