It's pretty sad when the news has zero credibility and we have to try and sift the fly shiett from the pepper ourselves. This is just a guy I've been watching off and on for lumber market updates that makes videos from his car.

He makes some pretty interesting points that this is all planned and there could be more to come. It's an interesting 10 minutes if you're interested.

Artificially low interest rates for depositors sucks too. I am in the position in my life where I like getting paid interest on my money without having to risk the principal in a manipulated stock market.

Yes! As a college student I stood in a bank with my measly stash when CD's were doing 20%. Now I make money by just having money and it outruns inflation and my retirement withdrawals. Bring it on.

When are the middle class going to start subsidizing home loans for poor people? Has that kicked off yet?

i sold 100 acres of floodprone hunting land about 9-10 years ago. was planning to buy property to build a house on.
couldn't find any land that was where we wanted, still looking in fact, money sat there gaining no interest.
wish i had put it in the market while Trump was in office, but just new I was going to find land just any day.

now, I'm finally drawing 5% interest on it. Made more money the first 3 months in the CD than i made in the previous 9 years.

And land has doubled in price now.

Brian, when Deb & I got married in 1988, we bought an apartment for AUD $75K.

Had $25, borrowed $50.

Interest rates in Australia were 17.95%.

That $50K, cost us a almost grand a month, in repayments !

Pucker is real !

The only ones who care about high interest rates, are looking to go in debt. Usually wanting not really needing. My 2 cents!

I got to waste most of my youth paying off some 12.5% interest from the tailend of the Carter debacle. I was damn glad my Dad had really good credit. There were LOTS of people paying off loans at over 15%.

I'm out of the borrowing money phase of my life now.

Never knew anybody taking out any type of loan that wasn't concerned with getting the lowest rate possible.

Real estate, cars, toys or whatever.

If ones $$ can earn more interest than what the loan is costing then financing with someone else's $$ makes more sense.
