Can anyone here shed some light and share some insights on the CIC point scoring system used in Europe to judge and, ultimately, determine the cost of game hunted?
It appears to be a sliding scale of sorts but have been unable to figure out how things are calculated. It seems there can be significant price increases when moving from one point bracket to the next.

I don't know all the details of the measurements, but I do know that age of the animal factors in, at least for Ibex, which are easy to age. I think all measurement systems should factor in age. Here's a guide to the scoring handbook A Practical Guide to CIC
