Fermin’ sorry for you kids. I started out on a Cushman Eagle. One of my pards rode a Lambretta. We drooled when an Indian cycle roared by. Life in the ‘50s.
I am..........disturbed.

The Honda CB750-4 was a great bike; one of, if not the first super-bikes. In the early '70's I bought a 1970 750 that had been in a low-speed collision, having its forks bent back. Paid around $700 for it then. Straightened the fork tubes and lowered the bike while I was at it.Installed 4-into-1 headers. Looked like this photo; gorgeous, fast and powerful.
You did good. I bought a new 1975 CB750 & clearly remember it was $2325 out the door. By then the 900 Kaw was coming on strong & I wanted one of those but they were beyond my credit limit. Then to add insult injury, in 76 Kawasaki came out with the LTD. More people wanted those than they could make for a few years. Beautiful motorcycles IMO. I was upside down on the Honda & it depreciated so bad that I never bought another Honda road bike.

Mustang- - - - -what a Cushman wanted to be when it grew up! The kid in my middle school who rode the Mustang was sort of a rowdy dude- - - -nobody messed with him!
Rode a Honda CB360T for a summer. Paid $375 for it.

I prefer the spoked rims to the mag style wheels. Used to polish the chain oil off of them after every ride on the CB 750-4. I was wondering if the 75-77 Goldwing spoked wheels would fit on this 78. I've read the spokes didn't hold up on the Goldwing but I don't know why they wouldn't.

Grew up with the old school.. Frist bike was a Ducati 250 scrambler. That led to over 50 some over the years. BSA, Triumph, Matchless, Bonnivilles, Gold Stars, Trident, Norton Commando's, Moto Guzzi Ambassador, Moto Morini, more Ducati's and yes, a Harley as well. Hondas, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and one Suzuki. Then BMW,s R90s K75'S, K100, K1200. Still have three, 2 '69 Honda trail 90's and a '90 BMW K75s.
Not a bike by any definition, and not even old school under the hood, but I grew up in this era of cars and love the idea of what it can do now...the MPG of 30+ is amazing.
My motorcycle days are over, only ever had two anyway... although I did want a CB900F, which thank God I never got, and hence is why I'm still alive...
But a 70 Chevelle SS is definitely the car! I graduated High School that year...
With a Durmax under the hood, that would be really cool in todays world. I've seen that conversion back in Minnesota, when I lived there.

Just an fyi. Dick Smothers of the Smothers Brothers received the first Honda 750 Four off the boat. They used him and it in early Honda advertising.
"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.”
IIUC Kawasaki licensed the engineering drawings from BSA and did a complete redesign, using bevel gears on a vertical shaft to drive overhead cams (like Ducati), so no chains or related problems, like chain tensioners.
That is cool!

My bikes..
Nice bikes Dmc! I love those old xrs and xls.
I started my riding days at 10 years of age on a brandamnew XR75 we somehow talked mom into buying. It was a bit much for a 10 year old but damn if I didn't become a scarred up hill climbing, jumping, speed demon on it!
